So now you’ve made your decision as to why you need to sell. It may be that you’re just deciding to try to maximize your financial return, or you decide that you just want to move along and get the place sold to get on with your life.
Whatever your reasons are, don’t tell anyone – especially a prospective buyer. If a buyer knows your reasons they can use that against you in the negotiations.
For example, if a buyer knows that you must move and you must move quickly, they can use that to their advantage and your disadvantage in the negotiations.
If they ask why you’re moving simply say it’s time to move on to the next phase of your life. Your reasons for moving are yours. Nobody else needs to know them.
