About Holmdel

Homes

There are three Active Adult communities in Holmdel, which are Village Grande, Regency at Holmdel and Cedar Village. The homes are single family detached homes ranging in size from 1500+ sq ft to almost 3,400 sq ft. Homes can be purchased with either 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms.

Dining and Shopping

Route 35 goes through Holmdel, while shopping and many restaurants are in town. Major malls are a half- hour drive away, in addition most major chain restaurants are in the area, along with many fine independent restaurants. Our favorite seafood place is minutes away in Keyport – the Keyport Fishery, take-out only. We park looking over the bay at the NYC skyline and eat in the car.

Recreation & Entertainment

NYC is a short train ride away from train stations at either Middletown, Hazlet or Matawan. Nearby, the PNC Art Center is in Holmdel, offering big name concerts throughout the summer. Red Bank has The Count Basie Theater and Twin Rivers Theater, with plays and concerts year round. Keansburg has a water park for the kiddies, plus, the ocean at Sandy Hook is a short drive away.

Commute

Holmdel is a great place for commuters because NJ Transit has service available at Middletown, Hazlet or Matawan. Additionally, buses are available to NYC with a commuter parking lot at the PNC Art Center and the ferry to NYC is a short ride away.

All Adult Communities in Monmouth County offer transportation services. There is a bus service from each community to local shopping centers such as malls and supermarkets. This is a scheduled service and there is no charge. There is also a medical transport bus that will take people to any medical facility or doctor’s office in Monmouth County. These trips must be scheduled a few days in advance and there is a minimal charge for this service.

Medical Care

Bayshore Hospital is located in Holmdel, in addition to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank.
