The real estate market hit bottom all the way back in March 2011. Now however, we are almost six and a half years later, and the real estate market has rebounded big time. And if you are a homeowner, this is great news.
You see, as of now, of all the homeowners that have a mortgage almost 79% of them have positive equity in their homes. And by positive Equity I’m not talking just a little, I’m talking about a significant amount of equity. Over 20% equity to be a little more exact.
And so that’s good news that so many homeowners now have equity in their house. But how many really know what their house is worth, and if you don’t have an accurate idea of what your house is worth, you have no idea what your Equity is.
And then for future planning, a recent study I read said that homes will increase by another 5% by this time next year. What if you don’t know what your house is worth, how much would that 5% increase be?
