Are you interested in a good investment? If you’ve been reading my blogs, you’ll know that I continually talk about the shortage of available housing inventory that is for sale. Let’s look at this from the other side and see how this can benefit you, the potential investor.
I have written numerous articles that’s state that it is cheaper to purchase a home then to rent one. Yet many people are just simply not able to purchase a home. Therefore they have no choice but to rent.
Now looking at it from a slightly different angle, if you can purchase for less than you can rent it for, what will stop you from purchasing one and turning around and making it a rental? You can purchase a condo, townhouse, Adult Community home, even single family homes. And you can make them rentals and probably have a positive cash flow right away.
The shortage of available rentals will only be getting more dire as we go along. It is estimated that each year an additional 300,000 plus new apartments will be needed to fill the demand.
Now I realize that many of the people reading this don’t have the ability to develop a rental Community with 10, 20, 50 or 100 or more apartments. But many of you do have the ability to go out and buy a condo or a single-family home. All you need is the down payment money and you can finance the rest.
