Yes – after months of the real estate market being a sellers market ( you know – not many homes on the market, and the ones that are for sale are going quick, lots of people who want to buy them) the tide may be ready to change.
Everyone knows that buyers want to be moved in during the summer. They want the kids starting in the new school at the beginning of the school year. These are the ones who are snapping up the homes as soon as they come available. And the scarcity of homes is costing them top dollar. But soon the sellers who don’t yet have a contract are going to become nervous.
And when that happens, we’ll see price reductions on those homes. And the new listings becoming available will need to match those lower prices.
So buyers, if you can, be patient. You’ll have a wider selection of homes, the prices will be lower. And maybe that home you didn’t want a few months ago will look more appealing due to a lower price tag
