Many of us are. I just read a report that says the five states with the highest cost of living are, in order:
Washington DC
Hawaii
New York
New Jersey
California
On the other side of the coin, the five states that have the lowest cost of living are:
Mississippi
Alabama
Arkansas
South Dakota
Kentucky
The article continued to state that if you spend $100.00 on goods, you do not get $100.00 worth of goods. You actually only get $88.18 worth. But in Mississippi, you get $116.01 worth of goods.
This tells me that if you are worried about the high cost of living in New Jersey, and you have every right to worry, you should move to one of those five states.
But why would you want to?
